“If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”

With this thought in mind, Project Tejaswini of MaitriBodh Parivaar has trained these village women in Kamatpada, Maharashtra to make candles in the cutting-chai glasses which are so closely knit with the essence of Maharashtra. These are perfumed candles which burn for good 12 hours.
 
Each candle that you buy from Tejaswini, lights the lamp in another home in these villages and more importantly, helps empower these women.
